PRODUCT QUALITY
One of the most important aspects of a wood product is the moisture content (MC). Excessive moisture can lead to wood that may shrink, warp, twist, or cup. So, we dry each product according to whether it will be used in an interior or exterior application.
In the development of our product line and grade standards we have always had two goals; the first is to make the best possible use of the trees we harvest, and the second is to supply our customers with quality and often unusual and beautiful products. We believe that the beauty and variety in the natural character of wood is equal to anything else in nature, and it is our desire to bring as much of this beauty to our customers as possible. We are honored to have this opportunity.
Although there are industry standards for grading, we modify those standards and create our own. This enables us to make products that are beautiful and useful out of low grade lumber which according to industry standards would frequently be chipped or used for a throw-away application.
